You might know Carla Mickelborg as an actress from the “Far til Fire” movie series, where she appeared in six films between 2006 and 2012. After achieving her childhood dream of becoming an actress, Carla realised that her creativity thrived better as an entrepreneur than as an actress. She then decided to enroll at the Danish School of Media and Journalism, where she studied TV production with the ambition of being able to convey her own messages.
It was during an exchange trip to L.A. that Carla’s career as an influencer began. Since then, Carla’s focus on Instagram has been to inspire others to pursue what brings them joy and well-being, and to help visualise dreams and future goals. In line with this, she co-founded the company goalsetter.com with her mother and brother in 2017. They sold mood board calendars designed to help envision personal goals and values. In 2019, she stepped down as CEO and founded her own entrepreneurial venture, MonDay Bliss.
MonDay Bliss originated from her Monday concept on Instagram, where her followers are invited into the Monday Bliss universe and inspired to turn the dreaded day into “MY-DAY” – a day filled with self-care. On mondaybliss.dk, Carla sells lifestyle products that reduce stress and bring more joy to everyday life, including personal development courses, workshops, retreats, sound meditations, bathrobes for winter swimming or cozy days at home, aromatherapy, and many other self-care items.
In 2020, Carla became a certified GOALS coach, and in 2022 she completed her training as a metacognitive coach. She has used these qualifications in her latest book, “Gratitude Diary – Love – Mind – Body”, a journal with 12 essays and questions guiding users to focus on the joy they have now rather than chasing it in the future.
In 2019, Carla published her first book, “Jeg elsker mig selv” (“I Love Myself”), which is a combination of a self-help book and an autobiography. This was followed in 2021 by the book “Hvad er det, du ved?” (“What Is It That You Know?”), inspired by her relationship with her mother. Carla has also been a producer and host of several podcasts, including “Brunch med Carla”, “Skal vi være kærester?”, “Kærlighedens mysterier”, “Mere Mullen”, and “Som mor siger”. Every Monday, she releases her “MonDay Bliss” podcast, where a new guest each week shares their tips on transforming Monday blues into Monday bliss. Carla frequently appears on TV entertainment programs and is a guest and commentator on radio, TV, and podcasts. She is also available for bookings as a speaker on goal-setting and gratitude, as well as teaching on topics like social media.
Carla collaborates closely with both Danish and international clients, primarily within the lifestyle segment. Past partnerships include brands like Colgate, Arla, Magasin, and Visa. She loves expressing herself personally and honestly through her campaigns, excelling in topics such as joy for life, beauty, food and recipes, travel, mental and physical health, as well as styling and interior design.
