Mette Marie was one of the first in Denmark to create a successful business by simply being herself online, and she has continued to do so – much to the delight of her followers. Mette Marie shares her daily life with a humorous tone, often from her home in Køge, which includes her husband, actor Jon Lange, their dachshund Uma, and, of course, the couple’s twins, who are not featured in her content, as Mette Marie has chosen not to show them online.
Mette Marie holds a Master’s degree in communication and psychology, has a background as a digital editor at Modemagasinet ELLE, and (if she has her way) a future as a part-time author, as she is currently working on her first book, a crime novel.
Mette Marie’s content is authentic, informal, and often sprinkled with both intellect and emotion. She is an enthusiastic entertainer and doesn’t shy away from using her platform to help others. Since 2017, she has been an ambassador for PlanBørnefonden, and a few years ago, she made headlines across newspapers when she successfully encouraged over 10,000 people to sign up as blood and stem cell donors after an effort on her Instagram Stories.
Mette Marie is a frequent guest on other media platforms besides her own. In 2021, she participated in Fangerne På Fortet and another (yet to be disclosed) TV program. She also appeared as an actress in the TV series STIKKER on DRUltra and is a regular guest on Go’Morgen and Go’Aften Danmark as well as various magazines and publications. Over the past year, Mette Marie has particularly gained public attention by letting her natural grey hair grow out, inspiring many other women to follow her example, which has been noted and covered by the press in publications such as Femina, Jyllands-Posten (front page), Kristeligt Dagblad, and Samvirke.
