FRIDAY appoints experienced CEO

One of the country’s most experienced agency and media executives is now taking over the leadership responsibility for the communications agency FRIDAY.

Martin Ove Rasmussen will assume the CEO role from Mikael Baden, who co-founded FRIDAY with Lars Bo Kirk in 2014. This is therefore the first time FRIDAY has had a full-time CEO who is not also a partner.

“We have come so far in the agency’s development that we need a professional CEO who can dedicate all of his time to leading, developing and professionalising the agency. For that, we cannot imagine anyone better than Martin, who brings exactly the experience and ambitions we are looking for,” says Chairman of the Board Lars Bo Kirk.

“Our long-term goal is for FRIDAY to be able to develop without being dependent on either the founders or individual partners. Therefore, appointing an external, experienced leader like Martin is exactly right,” says Mikael Baden, who will continue on FRIDAY’s board and going forward will dedicate his working time to advising the agency’s many clients.

“FRIDAY has more than 200 active clients and masters all key disciplines within communication, branding and marketing. At the same time, there is undoubtedly enormous development potential, which I look forward to realising together with the agency’s skilled partners and employees,” says Martin Ove Rasmussen, who for more than 20 years led the media agency Mindshare, which eventually had 200 employees in the Nordics. Martin Ove Rasmussen later became Group Executive Director at Infomedia, but stepped down when the company was recently merged with Retriever.

The ambition is now to continue the growth FRIDAY has experienced uninterrupted since its founding in 2014, now with even greater focus on dedicated leadership and profitability. Martin Ove Rasmussen will take up the position as CEO of FRIDAY on 1 January 2025.
