With a master’s degree in psychology and communication and a background as a digital editor at the fashion magazine Elle, Mette Marie became a blogger in 2014 and was among the first Danes who could make a living from the profession we today know as influencers. Mette Marie makes a living from her personal brand as a professional influencer on Instagram, where she creates both commercial partnerships and public awareness campaigns.
Over the years, her professional expertise has been expressed across media and formats, including as a co-author of several theatre productions, in entertainment TV, and as a host and master of ceremonies at events. From time to time, Mette Marie also works in audio, having produced and released several podcasts from her home studio in Køge. Alongside her work as an influencer, Mette Marie runs the beauty brand GRÅ and curates products from around the world, which she sells through the webshop MMmarket. She is also behind one of Denmark’s first women’s networking groups, Ladylogen, for which she hosts events once a month.
Mette Marie is an optimist, with a distinctive ability to spot the extraordinary in the ordinary. Her content combines deep reflection with humour and authenticity, creating a universe that is both credible, unpretentious and relatable. She uses her platform and voice to build community and inspire her followers—but also to drive change. She often mobilises her Instagram for charitable work, including as a long-standing ambassador for PlanBørnefonden.
