FRIDAY is behind the Danish Safety Technology Authority’s new campaign, which uses cool kids, music and Benjamin Hav to remind Danish families to remember their safety goggles.
In the campaign, we follow Class 6.T from Islands Brygge School all the way from idea to finished track. First, Benjamin Hav meets the class for a conversation about fireworks safety, and later they go to the studio together, where the song is recorded. The entire process is documented in a dedicated episode of Hav’s YouTube series Benjamin’s World, where viewers gain insight both into the message and into the children behind the song.
The song and accompanying music video have been released on streaming services and YouTube, where everyone can listen to (and watch) this year’s New Year’s hit. Later in December, the song will also become part of a creator track on TikTok, where the music track is brought to life in the hands of some of the platform’s strong communicators.
The song Did you remember your goggles? is sung by the children themselves. This makes the message vivid, playful and at eye level, and the hope is that children will want to play the song at home, dance with their families and put on safety goggles as a completely natural part of the year’s last festive evening.
